US West Coast, PMA and ILWU talks : probable conclusion without labor disruption
In August we were informed that the two sides had resolved the issue of healthcare expense and were still negotiating in a constructive environment.
According to a shipping consultant at the Intermodal Association of North America conference in Long Beach, the negotiations on the new labor contract will probably conclude without a labor disruption.
“The environment has been civil and constructive with operations being normal … It’s been relatively uneventful.”
